Alain Zucker in the chief editorial office of the Tages-Anzeiger

Zucker, news director and head of the editorial staff at the *Tages-Anzeiger*, will join the editorial board effective November 1, 2013. He will replace Arthur Rutishauser, who will take over as editor-in-chief of the *Sonntagszeitung* on December 1, 2013.

Alain Zucker, 46, previously worked as head of the economics department at Weltwoche, as a correspondent for Weltwoche and various Swiss and German media in the U.S., and as head of the background department and reporter for Tages-Anzeiger. After studying history and economics in Zurich and St. Louis, Alain Zucker completed the diploma course of the Media Training Center Maz in Lucerne.

Judith Wittwer will succeed Alain Zucker as head of the staff department on February 1, 2014. She will also act as daily manager. The 35-year-old, who holds a degree in political science, is thus returning from the Handelszeitung to the Tages-Anzeiger, where she already worked from 2002 to 2010 as business editor, correspondent from Frankfurt am Main, and most recently as editor in the Background and Analysis department.
