SSF launches "Comedy Monday" and satire format

New content at Sportszene fernsehen - SSF: With the first broadcast of the Swiss satirical magazine "Bild mit Ton" and the "Frischlingsparade" with Marco Fritsche, the station is launching "Comedy Monday" from next Monday, October 21, 2013.

With the idea of generating content with idiosyncratic humor inspired by role models such as Monty Python, Loriot or "Sendung ohne Namen," "Bild mit Ton" aims to meet and fill the broad gaping market in Switzerland, according to the press release. Through the mixture of youthful lightheartedness, unpredictable dynamics and unused faces, the team around slam poet Lara Stoll creates a new and unique tonality. "Bild mit Ton" is a provocative program that takes a closer look at world-changing topics for 24 minutes and examines them humorously, as well as critically, in various contributions. In an unconventional way, each episode weaves together content that is exhilarating, captivating and educational. Three overdrawn characters lead through the show: a female presenter (Lara Stoll), a hair-raising musician (Dominik Wolfinger) and a choleric computer scientist (Cyrill Oberholzer) with a love for the ant world.

The satirical trashy program, claims to fulfill a fun and knowledge mission. Unfortunately, the knowledgeable contributions often escape at the last second or cancel. A bit chaotic and loopy, but always self-deprecating, everything possible and impossible can happen. There is laughing, crying and dying.

SSF program director Philip Michel is enthusiastic about the new format: "Our station doesn't live off big budgets. That makes it all the more important for us to distinguish ourselves with new and unique programs. And because Bild mit Ton moves people's minds and has also polarized our editorial team, I like the format. One question arises in every episode: Is it even allowed to show something like this on television ...? But in the end, the clear opinion prevails: The Swiss television landscape is in desperate need of a refreshing comedy format ... and probably deserves it!"

Another component of "Comedy Monday" is the "Freshman Parade" with Marco Fritsche. Once a month, up-and-coming comedy, cabaret and cabaret talents present themselves to the audience at the Casinotheater Winterthur. Host Marco Fritsche presents the newcomers and chats with them about God and the world.
