With the relaunch, the Bündner Tagblatt, which according to the press release bears the signature of the new editor-in-chief Larissa M. Bieler, aims to distinguish itself as a quality newspaper that is explicitly dedicated to life in Graubünden in all its facets. The new BT has no regional interchangeability, but instead focuses on Graubünden and is committed to the people, the canton and the changes in the natural, cultural and political landscape. In addition to reports and background information, the "Klartext" page offers an opinion forum in which high-profile personalities have their say and debates also take place with the involvement of the public.

This positioning has also been reflected in the design. The classic, simple newspaper design is intended to signal openness and agility in the present, while the new newspaper head in Fraktur font and with the coat of arms from 1932 expresses the traditional roots of BT. The connection to its own and Graubünden's history is not only to be expressed more strongly in terms of content, but is also reflected in the new layout.
For Südostschweiz Medien, which also includes Werbewoche, the completely revamped BT is the starting point for the new media house project. Südostschweiz and the entire Südostschweiz Medien company will follow in spring/summer 2014 with a new look, before the parts of the company based in Chur and the surrounding area move into the fully converted media building on the Rossboden in Chur in around one and a half years' time.
