Last but not least: Glasses for the ears
Most people would rather admit to a visual impairment than a hearing problem. Draftfcb got Canadians to address the ear issue anyway under the guise of a free eye test.
The idea of wearing glasses probably puts people off less than putting on a hearing aid in their mind's eye. This is understandable - after all, visual aids are also seen as a fashion accessory, while acoustic support tends to be associated with advanced age. Draftfcb Toronto therefore invited the Canadian hearing center UHAC to a supposed eye test - free of charge on television and billboards. In reality, however, the viewer and spectator undergoes an involuntary hearing test.
The TV commercial (see below) was underlaid with a high-frequency sound that can only be perceived by the ears in top form. Above the posters, a motion detector also provided the sound outdoors. However, it is a well-known fact that the ability to hear certain frequencies decreases with age. So if you can't hear the sound, you won't miss much at this uncomfortable height. If you still want to hear the sound: off to the nearest optician. (hae)
