SRF: Wasiliki Goutziomitros replaces Andrea Vetsch
Wasiliki Goutziomitros will join the «Tagesschau» anchor team starting July 5, 2013. She will be filling in for Andrea Vetsch, who will be on maternity leave until the end of the year.
On Friday, July 5, 2013, Wasiliki Goutziomitros will anchor the "Tagesschau" editions at 12:45 p.m. and 6 p.m. on SRF 1 for the first time - later she will also be used for "Tagesschau Nacht". Wasiliki Goutziomitros moved to the "Tagesschau" newsroom on July 1, where she will replace Andrea Vetsch until the end of the year. Andrea Vetsch will return to "Tagesschau" at the beginning of 2014 after her maternity leave.
Wasiliki Goutziomitros has spent the last few years working mainly as an editor for "Kulturplatz," according to a statement. Last year, Goutziomitros also reported from Greece for "Rundschau" and as a special correspondent for "Tagesschau". Since 2006, she has been a presenter for "Schweizweit" on 3sat and hosted the travel program "SF unterwegs" on Swiss television. Wasiliki Goutziomitros graduated in journalism from the University of Munich and worked as a freelance editor for RTL during her studies.
