Last but not least: "Facebook events" for parliamentarians

In a letter to the Administrative Delegation, National Council members Andrea Caroni (FDP) and Balthasar Glättli (Greens) called for a public online calendar of events, arguing that paper invitations are too confusing.

In the letter, which is available to the Blick am Abend editorial team, the two write that they receive over 100 invitations per session. This is simply too confusing on paper and also takes up too much time. According to Blick am Abend, everyone should announce their events in the required online calendar. The politicians can then only enter whether they are attending. Similar to Facebook. However, a Like button is not planned, as Glättli revealed to Blick am Abend.
A calendar of events for parliamentarians. It's surprising that it hasn't been around for a long time. The benefits of social media achievements are apparently still slowly filtering through to the legislative administration. (uma)
