BSW Leading Swiss Agencies: A good business year
Looking back on a successful fiscal year, President Nadine Borter opened the 78th annual general meeting of BSW Leading Swiss Agencies on Thursday: She noted that clients are very satisfied with the services provided by the BSW agencies.
The association is fulfilling its leading role in the advertising, media and communications industry for longer and better, making membership very attractive. Since the last members' meeting in May 2012, eleven new agencies from various disciplines have joined, while four existing agencies have left. This was reported by the association in a press release on Thursday. BSW agencies stand for quality. For a few years now, the services of member agencies have therefore been consistently monitored and new members are only accepted after a thorough examination. In this way, the high BSW quality standard can be ensured in the long term and advertising clients can be guaranteed investment security.
BSW agencies fit for the future
Advertising clients are oriented towards secure values, which, Nadine Borter continues, only BSW agencies can offer them. These agencies have made themselves fit for cross-media offers and services within a very short time, so that today they fully meet the changed requirements. It is therefore no wonder that customers are very satisfied with the services provided by BSW agencies, as the new study "Advertising and media agencies today and tomorrow - from the customer's perspective" shows. The study was conducted at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts under the direction of Anja Janoschka and will be presented in detail in July 2013. But this much can be said in advance: BSW agencies are perceived as competent, their management as committed and the quality of service as high, which is why they enjoy a high level of trust from clients.
To ensure that this remains the case, BSW Leading Swiss Agencies also supported its members last year with a series of exclusive training seminars and workshops, according to the press release.
Following the statutory part of the General Assembly, President Nadine Borter welcomed one of the leading intellectuals in the German-speaking world, Faz publisher Frank Schirrmacher, as a guest speaker to great applause.

With books such as "Methuselah's Conspiracy" and his current critique of capitalism "Ego", he repeatedly launches profound social debates, which he also brought to the BSW Leading Swiss Agencies association on Thursday evening. He spoke about the unstoppable ageing of our Western societies and the painful adjustments to social systems that this entails. But he would not be Frank Schirrmacher if he did not also talk about the opportunities that demographic change offers individuals and the economy as a whole. The BSW members will certainly try - and there was a consensus on this in the concluding discussion - to seize these opportunities.
