New Swiss TV channel CHTV
Starting June 10, 2013, the new private television station CHTV will begin broadcasting in HD throughout Switzerland. With a programming concept based on theme days, the station aims to offer viewers a variety of content and provide advertisers with innovative advertising formats.
The channel sees itself as a service provider looking for progressive content and as a media platform that aims to promote talent with social ambitions. CHTV wrote this in a press release on Thursday. "CHTV offers an open-minded, objective and diverse insight into different lifestyles with a special focus on Swissness," says Sebastian Aenishaenslin, Co-Managing Director of the company. In addition to the classic offerings such as films, series and documentaries, CHTV seeks variety with its own productions on the respective theme days. High standards are set for the station's aesthetics and the development of innovative forms of advertising.
CH Television is an independent, innovation-oriented TV broadcaster, according to the press release. The company is sustainably financed and can rely on a solid capital base. From June 10, 2013, the signal will initially be broadcast on SwisscomTV, Zattoo and YplaY. Signal distribution to other digital TV operators is to be expanded in the course of the second half of the year.
The station is managed by Sebastian and Philippe Aenishaenslin.
