"Everything that has to do with culture"

Advertising executive and designer Andreas Babic is launching a cultural magazine to serve as a bridge between Baden and Zurich.

A new cultural magazine will be published in May. The magazine is called Escapade and is self-published by Andreas Babic, an advertiser and designer from Urdorf. "You have to be able to afford culture" is the theme of the first issue. An ambiguous allusion, as Escapade is to be distributed free of charge via municipalities, stores and the post office. "The culture magazine is financed exclusively by advertisements," explains Babic. A creative twist: if the word "culture" appears in the advertisement, there is a 10 percent "culture discount". Six issues with 60 pages are planned per year. It will start with 20,000 copies. The target areas are Zurich and the Limmat Valley. The magazine aims to "build a cultural bridge between Zurich and Baden". The first cover story analyzes the skyline of Dietikon and the culture of the earth houses.
