50 years of Televisiun Rumantscha - 50 stories
Romansh television, Televisiun Rumantscha, is celebrating its 50th anniversary. For RTR, the Romansh radio and television broadcaster, this is reason enough to share 50 stories in honor of the anniversary.
The first Televisiun Rumantscha broadcast flickered across Swiss television screens on February 17, 1963. The program was called "Balcun tort" (The Oriel). The images were dull and the content one-sided, according to the Rhaeto-Romanic newspapers at the time.
According to RTR, only a few fragments of the first "Balcun tort" broadcasts still exist. The first presentations can no longer be found in the archives. However, presenter Luisa Famos is still present in viewers' memories. The program "Cuntrasts" on February 17 brings back memories.
In a series, the program "Telesquard" goes in search of presenters from the last 50 years. The most biting program was "Muschkito". Because the satirical program was provocative, it had to "give way due to external pressure", according to RTR. Highlights from this program are also shown. (SDA)
