Last but not least: Internet "with measure"
«Always available, constantly keeping an eye on their smartphones during conversations, digital bullying»—Generation 2.0, is this what the future will sound like?
Or is this just a description of young people who, as usual, simply like to use the latest technologies and digital advances for themselves? The National Program Youth and Media, together with the Zurich University of Applied Sciences ZHAW, has published the brochure "Media literacy - tips for safe use of digital media". It states that almost 80% of 12 to 19-year-olds already have their own smartphone. And "Digital media not only offer opportunities, they also harbor dangers," warns the brochure.
But anyone who criticizes the fact that young people are addicted to the new means of communication is making things too easy for themselves, said Rickli in an interview with Sonntagsblick. The Zurich SVP National Councillor is returning to politics after a burnout. Before her time out, she had communicated intensively via Facebook and Twitter. "It's impossible to imagine political communication without the internet," Rickli continued in the interview. For her, the future lies in using the internet "with moderation". The call for "moderation" is therefore not only aimed at children and young people. (uma)
