Over one million francs for Rhaeto-Romanic news agency

From 2013 to 2016, the Romansh news agency ANR will receive annual funding of 1.18 million francs from the federal government and the canton of Graubünden. The Graubünden government approved a corresponding service agreement with the ANR.

In return, the Agentura da Novitads Rumantscha must provide a basic range of journalistic contributions in the Romansh idioms and in Rumantsch Grischun, as the government announced on Thursday. Graubünden had already concluded a performance agreement with the federal government for language promotion for the years 2012 to 2014. Bern will pay CHF 736,000 per year of the funds allocated to the ANR. Graubünden accounts for 445,000 francs. (SDA)
