Salvation Army on SF Decision Show
This fall, 180 bands applied to represent Switzerland at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest; nine of them have now qualified for the SF selection show on December 15. Among them: the Salvation Army.
Neither the client nor the agency Spinas Civil Voices could ever have dreamed that they would trigger such a huge response with this individual campaign, which is intended to rejuvenate the image, the agency said in a statement.
Whether the band and its 93-year-old bassist will manage to prevail against the last eight competitors will be revealed on December 15 in the Bodensee-Halle in Kreuzlingen. Well over 60,000 YouTube views, a high media presence and a fan community that is growing daily would at least give hope for good things, the agency continues.
The ESC team: Matthias Freuler, Stephan Huwiler, Corinne Bucher, Reinhard Kronenberg (Spinas Civil Voices), Georg Schlunegger, Roman Camenzind (Hitmill), Martin Küenzi (Salvation Army).
