Surseer Woche: Inge Lichtsteiner becomes publishing director

Inge Lichtsteiner will take over as head of the Surseer Woche publishing house in mid-November. The board of directors elected her to succeed Georges Achermann.

Financial management, marketing, team management, personnel administration or property management: Inge Lichtsteiner from Egolzwil is "well versed" in these and many other fields of activity of a female entrepreneur, according to the press release. The Board of Directors of Surseer Woche is delighted to have two women at the helm of the media company in the form of Publishing Director Inge Lichtsteiner and Editorial Director Andrea Willimann.

Professional in the management of an SME

The 52-year-old Inge Lichtsteiner is a career changer in the publishing industry. However, she brings a commercial track record and entrepreneurial experience to the new position, according to the press release. Having grown up in Egolzwil, she trained in gymnastics after completing her basic commercial training and working in the credit department of a bank and in financial management at a large company. In 1986, she founded the gymnastics studio Gymstreet in Sursee, which she ran as a sole trader for twelve years. In 1998, this was transferred to TC Training Center Innerschweiz, where she was co-owner and a member of the management team. The next step followed in 2009: Migros took over TC, which changed its name to One Training Center in 2010. Inge Lichtsteiner remained a member of the management team.

However, the new publishing director of Surseer Woche is not only well connected as an entrepreneur in the Sursee region, but also politically: the Egolzwil native has been a member of the cantonal council for the CVP in the Willisau constituency since 2009. Since this year, the mother of two grown-up daughters has also been working towards an Executive Master's in Business Administration at the Lucerne School of Business.

On November 19, Inge Lichtsteiner takes up her position at Surseer Woche. The regional media company Surseer Woche, based in Sursee, celebrated its 20th anniversary in October. It publishes the newspapers Surseer Woche and Trienger Woche together with their Allmedia services.
