SPRI: SEC Lausanne continues training courses
The SPRI Foundation Board has decided to have SEC Lausanne - a section of KV Switzerland - continue to run all SPRI courses in French-speaking Switzerland with immediate effect. Thanks to this partnership, the "SPRI" brand will continue to exist in French-speaking Switzerland.
After the Swiss Public Relations Institute (SPRI) had already concluded a partnership with the KV Bildungsgruppe Schweiz in German-speaking Switzerland in mid-July, a committed partner has now also been found for French-speaking Switzerland in SEC Lausanne (Societé des Employés de Commerce), which offers a wide range of higher vocational training courses. This was announced by the institute in a press release on Wednesday. The courses scheduled for fall 2012 will be continued by SEC Lausanne with immediate effect. Administration will continue to be managed by the SPRI secretariat at the Maison de la Communication (Lausanne). However, this will now report to SEC Lausanne. Daniel Herrera, member of the SPRI Foundation Board and Director ad interim of SPRI Western Switzerland, will oversee the integration process.
Label "SPRI" remains in place
Both the SPRI courses in French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland are linked to the
quality label "SPRI". The rights to the SPRI brand remain with the Foundation. The
Responsibility for the courses, on the other hand, lies with the established and strong training institutes. With these strong partners, the name SPRI - and thus the value of all previous degrees - will remain a brand of expertise in the PR industry. The partnerships between the HWZ, KV Schweiz, SEC Lausanne and the SPRI Foundation also make it possible to continue the mandate that the SPRI has received from PR Suisse and to guarantee industry-oriented, first-class continuing education for communication professionals in the future, the press release continues.
