Goldbach Mobile World: Outlook into the mobile future
Where is the future of mobile technology headed, how great is its potential, and how will it influence our media consumption? These and other questions will be addressed today, Thursday, at the first Goldbach Mobile World event at the Zurich Freight Terminal. International experts and industry leaders will provide the answers.
They will provide information on the current status of mobile use and services, give an outlook on expected developments and show what impact these trends will have on the advertising industry. Together with national and international speakers, Klaus Kappeler, CEO of the Goldbach Group, wants to show what opportunities are opening up and where the challenges lie for advertisers, publishers, telecommunications companies and users. "We are at a time when consumers are actively looking not only for services but also for advertising for the first time. And they are looking for them on the move, online on their smartphones or tablets: the best restaurant in the area, an online voucher for the store where they are currently shopping or the cab office with vehicles in the immediate vicinity. Advertising is changing from a push to a pull medium. And we have to guarantee these offers together," emphasized Kappeler in his welcoming speech.
The first Goldbach Mobile World starts with five speakers. Stefan Hentschel, Industry Leader Technology & Mobile Advertising Google, will present Google's perspective on the mobile revolution. Robert Weiss, owner of Weiss Consulting, will reveal the secrets of Apple's innovation and explain its incomparable success story. Andri Puorger, Product Manager Nokia, explains why Swiss consumers and companies are rightly waiting for Windows 8. Stephan Mignot, Head of Offers and Tariffs for Private Customers at Swisscom, sheds light on Swisscom's role as a mobile provider in the future. And Hansi Voigt, Editor-in-Chief of 20 Minuten Online, shows how 20 Minuten is going mobile.
The presentations will be followed by an open panel discussion in which Stefan Hentschel, Thomas Bergmann, Head Online & Mobile Business Credit Suisse, Nadine Borter, Managing Director and owner of Contexta, and Manfred Strobel, CEO Optimum Media Direction Switzerland, will report on their practical experience. "With Goldbach Mobile World, we are establishing an event that offers a well-founded overview of the mobile market in Switzerland and abroad and informs our customers and partners about possible uses, opportunities and challenges," summarizes Frank Lang, Managing Director Goldbach Mobile.where is the mobile future leading, how great is its potential and what influence does it have on our media use?
