Tamedia and Basler Zeitung Medien continue cooperation
The Zurich media group Tamedia and Basler Zeitung Medien are continuing their cooperation. The cooperation, which involves both the advertising market and journalistic projects, had been reviewed after the last change of ownership at Basler Zeitung.
The companies have been cooperating for almost twenty years. The continuation of the "successful cooperation" strengthens the two media houses and the media offering in the Basel, Bern and Zurich regions. This was written by Tamedia and Basler Zeitung Medien in a joint statement on Tuesday.
The two media companies jointly offer the Metropool advertising combination of Basler Zeitung, BZ Berner Zeitung, Der Bund and Tages-Anzeiger and cooperate on the Newsnet news network. In addition, Basler Zeitung, Berner Zeitung, Der Bund and Tages-Anzeiger jointly publish the weekend supplement Das Magazin. Following the change of ownership at Basler Zeitung Medien last December, the two media companies had agreed to review their cooperation. The continuation of the cooperation, which dates back to 1993 in the case of the advertising combination, strengthens the two media houses and the media offering in the Basel, Bern and Zurich regions, the statement added.
