Zoo director Schildger honored with Bern Communication Award

The Bern Communication Award 2012 goes to a person who, according to the award organizers, can even talk to animals: The director of the Dählhölzli zoo in Bern, Bernd Schildger.

The animal and bear park director is being honored because the positive worldwide reputation of Bern Zoo is to Schildger's credit, writes the Bern PR company in a press release on Thursday.

Schildger's inherent motivation radiates outwards and is the basis for communication via numerous channels, the press release continues.

Every year, the Bern PR Society presents the award to a personality who has achieved exceptional communicative achievements without specialist training. Last year, the Bernese rapper Steff la Cheffe was honored. (SDA)
