Last but not least: Siegel's "surreptitious advertising" for Facebook

The Eurovision Song Contest just can't seem to stay out of the headlines this year. The reason is a downright ridiculous accusation: that Ralph Siegel's song title is a form of surreptitious advertising for Facebook.

The organizer, the European Broadcasting Union EBU, has rejected Ralph Siegel's lyrics. It reads: "Facebook, uh, oh, oh". The EBU deemed the title to be too promotional. It is difficult to say whether the EBU lacks any sense of parody or whether the organizer simply defines the term advertising very broadly. Nevertheless, Siegel has changed his title. The word Facebook no longer appears, as he told the Frankfurter Allgemeine according to SDA.
Incidentally, this article is also committed to surreptitious advertising, for every mention of the social network there is a free friend request.
