SF zwei benefits from Ski World Cup races

Publisuisse, the SRG's advertising agency, is pleased with the launch of the Swiss Television channels. These channels scored big in January with the Ski World Cup races in Wengen and Kitzbühel.

The men's Lauberhorn downhill race in Wengen, broadcast on SF zwei, was able to lure the most viewers in front of the screen. It achieved particularly strong ratings in the advertising-relevant target group of 15- to 59-year-olds, with an average market share of 70.9 percent and a rating of 528,300 viewers.

In addition to winter sports broadcasts, various entertainment and information programs were also in high demand at the beginning of the year. The first broadcast of this year's season of "Die grössten Schweizer Talente" started with a market share of 36.5 percent - better than the previous year, according to SRG's marketing subsidiary Publisuisse. In addition, the ninth edition of the "Swiss Award - Die Millionen Gala," the information programs "Tagesschau" and "Meteo," and the DOK series "Auf und davon," which is devoted to Swiss emigrants and aired on Friday evenings, attracted many viewers.

Table: SF 1 and SF zwei topped the rankings of the most popular shows in Switzerland in January, with a mix across all genres among the 15-59 age group. The competing stations' first format is in 35th place.
