SGB: Head of Communications Peter Lauener leaves
The 42-year-old head of communications at the Swiss Federation of Trade Unions (SGB), Peter Lauener, is joining the staff of Federal Councilor Alain Berset. His duties will be assumed by Ewald Ackermann until the position is filled.
The SGB regrets the loss of the accomplished and dedicated communications professional and campaign specialist, it said in a statement Wednesday. In his role, Lauener was responsible, among other things, for collecting signatures for the minimum wage initiative, which was submitted this week. From mid-February, he will be advisor for communication and campaigns to the head of the FDHA. Ewald Ackermann will temporarily coordinate the SGB communications department from February.
