Last but not least: Of pissing and drinking males

Male figures urinating, limping, or drinking beamed down from the traffic lights in the Czech capital, much to the amusement of Prague’s residents. The court, however, found the installation anything but funny. Is this art or should it go? That is the question.

In 2007, the people of Prague were amused by the strange traffic lights - 50 in total. According to Welt.de, a group led by the artist Roman Tyc was responsible for the campaign. He was fined the equivalent of 2,400 euros - for irritating road users. However, the man did not see why he should be fined for art and refused to pay the money. He was then sentenced to a month in prison by a judge who had undoubtedly not been born with a sense of humor. The artist's defense lawyer immediately announced an appeal, which is why the sentence is not yet legally binding. Nevertheless, the judge admitted that the action had been positively received by the public. Nevertheless, damage had been caused to the glass of the traffic lights. And after all, that should be punished.

Incidentally, the amusing troupe had already caused a stir years ago with another action: back then, they "hacked" into the Czech television program that showed live images from tourist regions. With the help of computer technology, they exploded a nuclear bomb in the middle of the mountains - in front of the TV viewers. They wanted to draw attention to how easy it is to manipulate television.
