Audience Council: Swiss Television's online portal praised
The Viewers' Council praised Swiss Television (SF) for its coverage and responsiveness during the federal elections on its online portal. It noted that there was little to criticize regarding the appeal of the graphics, video clips, and overviews.
Swiss radio and television SRF used all available human and technical resources on election day and achieved a remarkable user result - even compared to other election platforms. This writes the audience council in a statement on Tuesday. The immense number of hits on the website and on teletext testify to the great interest in the "Decision 2011". In view of the technical developments, one can be curious to see what the online concept for the next elections will look like.
In conversation with the makers, however, the audience council regretted that it was not yet possible to unite radio and television in a joint online presence. Roland Specker, Head of Multimedia News TV, was confident, however, that this demand of the convergence efforts could soon be fulfilled.
