Tamedia takes over Bilan and Tribune des Arts

Tamedia is expanding its magazine portfolio and acquiring the magazines *Bilan* and *Tribune des Arts* from Groupe Edipresse. The acquisition completes the merger of Edipresse’s and Tamedia’s Swiss media operations.

The biweekly business magazine Bilan strengthens Tamedia's magazine portfolio in German-speaking Switzerland and French-speaking Switzerland, as Tamedia writes in a press release on Monday. The editorial teams of Bilan and Finanz und Wirtschaft have already been jointly publishing the quarterly luxury magazine Luxe par Bilan since November 2010. This collaboration between the two independent editorial teams has proved successful and is to be further expanded to cover national topics. Bilan reaches 95,000 readers with a circulation of 13,111 copies.

Tribune des Arts is published monthly and is the reference magazine for watchmaking and art. The magazine has been published since 1979 and is included in the Tribune de Genève. Tribune des Arts reaches around 140,000 readers and is published in collaboration with 24 heures in March and December with a large print run focusing on watches and jewelry.

The takeover is subject to approval by the Competition Commission.
