Capital FM repositions itself
Starting September 7, 2011, Capital FM is repositioning itself with Monika Buser and the new "Bärner Morgeshow," as well as a new audio layout. In addition, the station will incorporate additional informational, entertainment, and service segments into its programming.
The new music concept with a focus on the 80s and the hits of today was introduced back in April. With the extensive facelift, Capital FM wanted to sharpen its positioning as a regional radio station for an adult target audience in the greater Bern area. The station's new appearance is rounded off with a completely revised layout.
All the jingles for the news, service and entertainment channels were newly composed and produced. The jingle producers from Foster-Kent in Salzburg were engaged for the production. Capital FM is also working with Stefan Frank, a well-known radio voice from Bern, as the new station voice.
The station is also working flat out to expand its FM transmission network, according to a Capital FM press release. Gaps in reception in the transmission area between Solothurn, Thun and Fribourg are to be closed with additional transmission antennas.
