Catherine Duttweiler leaves the Bieler Tagblatt

The bilingual journalist has resigned from her position as editor-in-chief of the Bieler Tagblatt . The exact date of Catherine Duttweiler's departure has not yet been determined, but it will take place no later than February 2012.

In the last six and a half years, Catherine Duttweiler has continued to develop and shape the Bieler Tagblatt in terms of both content and appearance, even in sometimes difficult economic times, according to a press release issued on Monday. Her journalistic successes included the professionalization of regional reporting, the introduction of a new layout and the establishment of a newsroom for Biel media at the cc.ch media center on Walserplatz in Biel. Under her leadership, the Bieler Tagblatt has received two national awards for quality in journalism and four European awards for layout and infographics; the Bieler Tagblatt also reached the final round of the Swiss Media Prize in spring 2011.

Catherine Duttweiler takes over as Head of Communications at Berner Kantonalbank. She joins the Extended Executive Board.
