Dominique Hiltbrunner takes over Automobil Revue from Tamedia
The Basel-based publisher Dominique Hiltbrunner is taking over the newspapers Automobil Revue and Revue Automobile from Tamedia as of September 1, 2011. The magazine is to be continued from its current position.
Dominique Hiltbrunner, who already publishes various business and specialist media such as Immobilien Business magazine and Women in Business magazine in Basel, Lausanne and Zurich, intends to continue the German-language Automobil Revue and its French-language sister newspaper Revue Automobile at their current location in Bern, as Tamedia writes in a press release on Monday. The newspapers are to be further developed through exchanges with other business and specialist media and supplemented with new offerings.
The transfer of FMM Fachmedien Mobil AG, the publisher of the two newspapers, with all its employees to Dominique Hiltbrunner will take place on September 1, 2011. The parties have agreed not to disclose the details of the transfer.
Founded in 1906 as the first European automobile newspaper, Automobil Revue is published every Wednesday with a circulation of 25,322 copies and reaches 180,000 readers. The French-language edition, which has a circulation of 13,881 copies and reaches 78,000 readers, is published every second Thursday. Published this year in its 65th edition, the Automobil Revue catalog is considered a standard work in the industry and contains data on more than 4,000 vehicles from almost every car manufacturer in the world. Since 2007, Automobil Revue has provided information on the latest trends from the world of automobiles once a week with the Automobil Revue TV program, which is broadcast on several regional TV stations in German-speaking Switzerland.
