Thomas Stringari becomes Country Manager Switzerland at Open Text
Open Text has appointed Thomas Stringari as Country Manager Switzerland. He succeeds Patrik Hug, who has left the company to take on a new challenge.
Thomas Stringari is an IT and ECM specialist with many years of experience in various positions at Open Text. He has been with the agency for 13 years. In July 2010, he was appointed Sales Manager for the Production, Services and Public divisions. In this role, he was also responsible for Switzerland as Deputy Country Manager. On July 1, 2011, Open Text promoted him to Country Manager Switzerland.
Thomas Stringari began his professional career in 1991 as an export specialist at Bossard Schrauben in Zug, where he ultimately worked as a sales coordinator. In 1997, he moved to Eugster/Frismag in Romanshorn as Area Sales Manager before joining Open Text a year later. He started his career with the Canadian ECM specialist as a sales coordinator. Shortly after taking up his post, he was promoted to Manager Inside Sales and assumed overall responsibility for the management of inside sales in the Swiss, South African and Italian sales markets as well as for global accounts. In 2005, he made a further career move to Commercial Director and operational deputy to the Vice President Sales Southern Europe, before being promoted to Business Development Manager in 2007 and to Sales Manager and Deputy Country Manager in July 2010.
