Guardian and Observer: Out for international editions
The British publishing company Guardian News & Media (GNM), publisher of The Guardian and the Sunday newspaper The Observer, will discontinue its international editions in October.
The move is one of the cost-cutting measures as part of the publisher's strategic realignment, as Wuv.de writes. By discontinuing the international editions, the circulation figures for the two titles will fall by around 18,000 to 19,000 copies. The international editions are currently printed in New York, Frankfurt, Madrid, Malta and Cyprus.
