Search.ch: Robert Schmidli joins the Board of Directors

Robert Schmidli will join the Board of Directors of Search.ch effective July 1, 2011. The 61-year-old currently serves as an independent consultant for various Swiss companies.

Robert Schmidli is a proven expert on the Swiss media landscape, according to a press release issued on Friday. Important stages in his career include his work as CEO at
Publicitas and LTV Yellow Pages. He has also held management positions at Xerox and Bertelsmann. He has also been a member of the Board of Directors of Affichage since May 2011.

Search.ch's headquarters will also be relocated from Immensee in the canton of Schwyz to Grafenauweg 12 in Zug at the beginning of July. The move of around 30 employees to the central office premises with significantly more space is in line with Search.ch's growth and should be completed by mid-July.

Search.ch, which has been operationally managed by Stephan Obwegeser since mid-2009, is 75% owned by the Swiss media company Tamedia and 25% by Swiss Post. With Ulrich Hurni as representative of Swiss Post, Martin Kall and Christoph Tonini as representatives of Tamedia and the newly elected Robert Schmidli, the Board of Directors now comprises four new members.
