Audience Council: Swissinfo.ch receives good marks
Election dossier, quality audit, «Click on Switzerland» dossier: At its June meeting, the Public Advisory Board reviewed numerous new offerings from Swissinfo.ch and expressed its satisfaction with the diversity and high quality of the content.
The Public Council considers the election dossier, which is online in the national languages German, French and Italian, to be a successful dossier for the Swiss abroad to inform themselves about the upcoming elections, according to a statement. The clarity of the dossier, the interactivity, the graphics, the discussion of topics that are of particular interest to the 5th Switzerland as well as the numerous links to further information and additional dossiers are appreciated.
Swissinfo.ch published a guide in eight languages with information and tips on living, working, traveling and studying in Switzerland. The audience council appreciates the clear and comprehensible presentation, the easy navigation between the topics and the many further links, it continues. What is missing is the possibility for users to actively interact, comment or give their own tips.
Arab Site Quality Audit
The audience council also discussed the current quality audit on the Arabic site, which received very good marks overall. The auditors noted positively the many further elements such as internal and external links as well as the multimedia elements. What is criticized in some articles is that a lot of background knowledge is assumed and the contexts are not sufficiently explained. The Arabic-language editorial team will take the numerous suggestions into account in the further development of the offering.
