Murdoch wants to explore tablet advertising with WPP

Rupert Murdoch's News International media group and the WPP Group have joined forces to launch a joint research project. The project aims to examine the effectiveness of advertising on tablet PCs.

This includes a number of WPP clients, for whom the results of the study will be available in mid-August. The research project examines the effectiveness of advertising on tablets and compares it with that of traditional media such as newspapers. This was reported by Brandrepublic.com on Thursday. Specifically, the focus is on questions regarding dwell time, the click-through rate and user tolerance towards the scope of advertising.
