Last but not least: Smurfy effort for movie premiere party
An entire village in Spain was painted blue for the premiere celebration and to promote the movie *The Smurfs in 3D*. The village, which the Hollywood studio Sony Pictures chose for this purpose, has a population of 250.
The community is called Júzcar. Around 9,000 liters of blue paint were used to transform it into a Smurf village. This was reported by the Spanish news agency EFE on Friday, according to SDA. The premiere festival is primarily aimed at children. It is due to start next Thursday. Only three houses still need to be painted by then, said Mayor David Fernández. On August 4, the film with the computer-animated Smurfs will be released in cinemas in Switzerland.
