Culture magazine Ensuite celebrates 100th issue
On Friday, April 1, 2011, the 100th issue of the culture magazine *Ensuite* will be published. The magazine has been published monthly since January 2003—and for the past four years, it has also been published in Zurich.
All in all, the sponsoring association "We are" has printed a total of 174 magazines in 8 years. These include Ensuite Bern, Ensuite Zurich, Artensuite and Danse Ensuite. At the beginning, Ensuite was predicted to survive for a maximum of three months, according to a press release from the cultural magazine. In the meantime, the magazine has become a major cultural magazine publisher in Switzerland with around 70 employees, four cultural magazines, web offerings, books and its own distribution network. The 100th issue marks an important milestone for Ensuite.
The culture magazine is clearly positioned as a readers' magazine - not as a promotional publication for the culture industry. For the past three years, many cultural institutions have joined Ensuite or started to advertise.
