Quartz Swiss Film Prize awarded in Lucerne

On Saturday evening, the Quartz Swiss Film Awards were presented in Lucerne in nine categories.

In the category Best Fiction Film, "Coeur animal" by Séverine Cornamusaz was honored. The award for Best Documentary Film went to "The Woman With The 5 Elephants" by Vadim Jendreyko and Best Short Film was awarded to "Las Pelotas" by Chris Niemeyer. In the Best Screenplay category, "Frédéric Mermoud" was awarded, while the Best Actress prize went to Marie Leuenberger as Rahel Hubli in "Die Standesbeamtin" by Micha Lewinsky. Best Actor honors went to Antonio Buil, who plays the role of Eusebio in "Coeur animal." Uygar Tamer was honored in the Best Emerging Actor or Actress category for her rolea as Sükran in "Dirty Money, l'infiltré" by Dominique Othenin-Girard. And the prize in the Best Film Score category went to Norbert Möslang for "The Sound of Insects" by Peter Liechti. The Special Jury Prize was awarded to Stéphane Kuthy for the cinematography in "Tannöd" by Bettina Oberli. Claude Goretta was awarded the Honorary Award.
