Court settlement: "Bauer, ledig, sucht..." can continue to be produced
The action brought by Fremantle Media Limited against 3+ before the Commercial Court of the Canton of Aargau in February 2009 was settled by court order.
The English TV production company had accused the Swiss private broadcaster that the docusoap "Bauer, ledig, sucht..." was too similar to the format they had developed, "The Farmer Wants A Wife". 3+ had always vehemently denied this accusation. According to the settlement, 3+ remains free to produce and further develop the format, as the Swiss broadcaster wrote in a press release on Thursday. The two parties have agreed not to disclose the details.
