"Date Nina: Interactive prevention film by Road Cross and Ogilvy Interactive
Road Cross, in collaboration with Ogilvy Interactive, has produced an interactive public awareness video. The goal is to address the high number of traffic fatalities among young people in a playful way.
The film "Date Nina" published on Facebook addresses the importance of personal choice in connection with road safety. It also features Swiss actor Hanspeter Müller-Drossaart.
The movie is about a date with the pretty Nina, an acquaintance from the Internet whom the main character has never met. They arrange to meet in a coffee shop, travel by car and meet friends before going to a club together. In order for the main character to end up with Nina, he has to make the right decisions in several situations. The consequences of one's own behavior and the effects on road traffic are experienced directly in a playful way in "Date Nina".
The viewer experiences the movie from a first-person perspective and decides the course of the story at the click of a mouse. He thus becomes the main actor in the movie. To reinforce this effect, the viewer is addressed directly by the other film characters. By incorporating photos of the viewer stored on Facebook into the film plot, the application turns the film into a personalized and individual experience.
"Date Nina" was produced by Road Cross in collaboration with Ogilvy Interactive and supported by the Road Safety Fund (FVS). The application is available in German, French and Italian: http://apps.facebook.com/date_nina/.
