Jobs.ch takes over Topjobs.ch and appoints Christian Ungern to the Board of Directors
The Swiss online job market Jobs.ch and the online classifieds market Scout24 are joining forces. Jobs.ch is taking over the Topjobs.ch platform. Scout24 will continue to operate the Jobscout24.ch platform, but will relinquish the contract customer business.
In return, Scout24 Switzerland is acquiring a 15 percent stake in Jobs.ch. The transaction strengthens Jobs.ch's market-leading position and brings it one step closer to its goal of a 50 percent market share in the Swiss online job market, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.
Jobs.ch is taking over the domain, brand and platform of Topjobs.ch and will continue to operate the service under the existing name. The re-launch of the platform is planned for April 2011. Jobs.ch is also taking over the contract customer business of Jobscout24.ch and will continue to operate it on its own account. The Jobscout24.ch online job market will remain with Scout24 Schweiz AG, which will concentrate on serving individual advertisers in e-commerce. In return, Scout24 will acquire a 15 percent stake in Jobs.ch by contributing its own assets and purchasing shares. In addition, Christian Unger, CEO of Ringier, will join the Board of Directors of Jobs.ch
