Last but not least: With McDonald's to simplicity
McDonald's shows what the future of advertising - without Heidi Klum - looks like with two new TV commercials. The fast food giant is not trumpeting a new celebrity, but is promoting its range as a simple alternative to fancy restaurants - where surely nothing can go wrong...
The films begin in posh restaurants where the patrons despair: on one occasion, the protagonist is constantly interrupted by speeches during the wedding meal. Another time, a child - obviously too young for such a restaurant - is overwhelmed by the food served. Afterwards, they both end up in a McDonald's branch and are perfectly happy. "Simply enjoy". Well, simpler perhaps. But who would want to swap a delicious wedding dinner for a visit to McDonald's?
