Euro RSCG Zurich presents restaurant chefs as bad actors

The Mère Catherine restaurant is located in Zurich’s Niederdorf neighborhood and is known for its excellent cuisine. To entice movie lovers from the nearby arthouse cinema straight into the restaurant after the show, the gourmet spot humorously promotes itself in a cinema ad campaign—produced exclusively for arthouse cinemas.

Three 20-second clips show what it looks like when the chefs at Mère Catherine recreate big Hollywood films with a lot of passion but far too little talent. However, the fact that they have a perfect command of preparing French delicacies is dispelled by the cover: "But we can cook," it says, inviting moviegoers to enjoy a discounted à la carte dinner with their cinema ticket.

The campaign was created by the agency Euro RSCG Zurich and was directed by Tobias Nölle. The spots can now be seen in all arthouse cinemas.
