Last but not least: The Japanese are crazy
The average Japanese person loves crazy video games and high-tech toilets with features like fragrance dispensers and heated toilet seats. Video game maker Sega has combined these two passions.
"Toylet" - this is the name of the latest creation from Sega, which is currently in a test phase. Here's how it works: the urinals are fitted with pressure sensors that react to the user's urine stream. On a small screen at eye level, the player can see what effect their urine stream has on the game. Sega has given its all in terms of imagination and creativity in the realization of games with a "urinary" fun factor: In "Graffiti Eraser", for example, users have to flush away virtual graffiti, in "Manneken Pis" the volume of the small store is measured, and in "Splashing Battle" the urinal user can compare his urine volume with that of his predecessor. However, the game "The North Wind and The Sund and Me" clearly reaches the pinnacle of originality - here the duration of the urine stream determines how high the skirt of a girl shown on the display flies up. Well then, we wish the Japanese lots of fun - and hope that the toylet trend doesn't spill over into Europe at some point. The chances are good - the experiment is merely intended to attract the attention of advertising customers, and according to a company spokesperson, there are no plans to commercialize it.
