Matthias Aebischer leaves SRF
Presenter and editor Matthias Aebischer is leaving Swiss Radio and Television and is running for the Social Democratic Party in the National Council elections.
Matthias Aebischer has worked at Swiss Television for 18 years in various capacities, according to a statement Wednesday. Among other things, he hosted the programs "Tagesschau", "Kassensturz" and "Club". Now he is ending his employment with SRF and going into politics.
Employees at Swiss radio and television who are active in journalism in their function may belong to a political party, but may not become active in this function.
