"Ufrichti" in Contexta's new home
Last year, the Bern-based agency Contexta found that its location on the banks of the Aare River proved to be its undoing:
Last year, the location of the Bernese agency Contexta on the banks of the Aare was its undoing: the devastating storms submerged the agency's studio in the Matten district of Bern and caused total damage.For Contexta, the adversity presented an opportunity to expand its location. Just a hundred meters away, the agency was able to set up a new studio in an old print shop. The creative department and a complete consulting group will work there.
Moving into the new quarters went hand in hand with Contexta's growth. "We used the opportunity to expand the agency," says CD and co-owner Hannes Weber. "We now employ around 40 people - new people have joined across all areas."
After a year of improvisation, Weber is glad to have a permanent studio location again with Contexta II. The former premises will remain under the name Contexta I. "The location is ideal," says Weber, "we can easily move from one building to the other by kickboard." (ba)
