Media Baier and Kreussler part ways
Petra Kreussler, Managing Director of the Zurich media agency Robert C. Baier, and Rolf Altwegg, who has been with Baier since the fall, are going their own ways. In the form of a management buyout, they are taking over all of the agency's employees and clients with retroactive effect from January 1, 2001 and founding a new company under the name The Generation Media AG. The reason for the separation: differences over the shareholding and the strategic direction. "We simply didn't find each other," says Kreussler. The Generation Media will move into its own offices on Alfred-Escher-Strasse in Zurich in mid-March and "offer a high-quality full media service as well as specialties such as media seminars or media back office for independent media consultants", adds Kreussler.
Baier, surprised by the pace of development, will realign himself. He won't reveal exactly how until mid-March. "I will concentrate on specialties such as media auditing," said Baier. He was the first person in Switzerland to set up his media agency in 1974, years before Vincent Banderet and Wolfgang Mecklenburg followed suit. (dse)
