Conceived while dying

The private sector is helping the youth magazine Toaster rise from the dead

The private sector helps the youth magazine Toaster out of the graveThe youth magazine Toaster would have wanted to become self-supporting by its own efforts within four years. But now the city of Zurich is turning off the money tap. In order to secure the existence of the newspaper, which has been edited by budding journalists for 30 years, the editors are now publishing their paper as a magazine. They came to this conclusion in talks with RMB Switzerland, which took over advertising marketing in October. Should the Toaster survive this critical situation in one piece, it owes it to the help of many companies that have contributed to its rescue free of charge. Seiler DDB, Zollikerberg, for example, designed a witty appearance that is intended to relaunch the magazine, which was redesigned by Fabian Brunner based on the old layout, among a relevant target group.
