On November 15, 2001, the new advertising agency Adcomm in Basel opens its doors to interested parties. "We have been in existence since January, but we wanted to complete the start-up phase before we present ourselves," explains co-owner Bernhard Wenger. He and his two partners Benny Fasnacht and Peter M. Schulthess form the management team and complement each other: while Wenger rose through the creative departments of various advertising agencies to become CD of Favo Corporate Communications, Fasnacht worked mainly in the film sector and Schulthess brings IT expertise to the table. For the time being, the agency wants to concentrate on classic advertising, especially in the print sector, but already has the necessary know-how in-house for film and web presences.
The Adcomm team consists of twelve employees, a size that Wenger considers to be optimal at the moment: "In terms of infrastructure, we can still expand, but growth is not our top priority. We are flexible at this size." Adcomm has already won Migros, Bell, Grieder, Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank and others as customers (ba).
