Emeralds in the village
With the mild weather we've been having lately, the first invitations to garden parties have started arriving.
With the mild temperatures that have recently arrived, the first invitations for garden parties are fluttering in.by Beat Fritsch Last week, people met in the normally cozy, but on this evening very crowded backyard of Ruth Arber's Casa Smeralda on Predigerplatz. The former co-owner of the advertising agency By Heart has created a southern ambience with her furniture store.
A lot has happened at the Oase in Niederdorf since the last spring party. Space has been rented, and there are now many more of the incredibly beautiful, usually not quite cheap pieces of jewelry there. Anyone who expects Ikea prices for their personal interior is hardly part of Casa Smeralda's target audience. Not even in terms of style. As far as could be seen in the crowd, the guests looked quite affluent. Many of Ruth Arber's acquaintances from the advertising scene and many friends of her partner Marcello Schnyder from Glass in the film industry attended, including celebrities such as actor Stefan Gubser. The catering service girls had to make every effort to keep up with the supply of liquids and freshly prepared snacks. In the midst of the crowd, Arber's employee Bea Gut, who came to Casa Smeralda via Glass Film, was hard at work organizing the event. Marc Schürmann from Mosaik arrived with a walking aid - on two sticks. He had had a stroke of luck in an accident.
From the garden, Sandra Haldi and Natalie Schneider - who know each other from their time together at By Heart - continued on their own business. They met the people from the board of the Idée-VfW communications association with President Heinz Egli to prepare for the general meeting, which will take place on Advertising Day at the Berner Medienhaus. Egli also recalled that Ruth Arber had once been his assistant at the Gisler und Gisler agency.
