SWA settles conflict

At Wednesday evening's informational meeting for SWA members, the more combative voices failed to gain traction.

At the information event for SWA members on Wednesday evening, the militant voices did not make a breakthrough, as they had called for an extraordinary general meeting and full disclosure of the reasons and processes surrounding the dismissal of Fredi Schwab. The meeting was chaired by Kurt W. Zimmermann. The result of the 90-minute meeting was summarized in five points on which the meeting agreed. According to SWA Managing Director Jürg Siegrist, they are as follows: "The separation from Fredi Schwab was legally correct. There are always differences of opinion regarding management behavior between the Board of Directors and the Executive Board. The meeting is of the opinion that the Board of Directors has fully complied with its duty to inform the members. (To the new Managing Director Jürg Siegrist:) The SWA's external communication has not convinced anyone. Internal communication is good. The meeting was objective and fair."
The information event was poorly attended. According to Siegrist, around 20 of the 130 people invited attended. Only nine members of the appellants were present.
