News Radio 105 goes after the SRG Giuseppe Scaglione, head of the private radio station 105, is not letting up in his fight for better conditions for private radio operators. In an open letter to the Federal Council, he has made his demands for the revision of the RTVG. The most important: The diffuse performance mandate should be replaced by legally clear targets for the SRG. SRG should only provide services that the market cannot provide. Above all, it must be prohibited in the future from developing and broadcasting programs that compete with private offerings. Scaglione makes tough demands regarding the allocation of broadcasting frequencies. The RTVG must stipulate that 50 percent of FM frequencies must be available to private broadcasters. In addition, cable network operators must be obliged to broadcast licensed private radio stations.
