Women in love
The women's magazine *Bolero* is publishing special issues, and *Elle* is featuring a Swiss split.
Women's title Bolero is launching special editions and Elle is coming with a Swiss split Edelweiss, the women's magazine from Ringier Romandie, is not the only one planning to launch a separate edition for women in German-speaking Switzerland from February 28. Bolero and Elle also intend to focus more strongly on the local women's market. Bolero will launch the first of four special issues announced for this year on February 5, with the second to follow in March. The German monthly magazine Elle (Burda Medien) will appear from May with at least a 16-page Swiss German split (circulation 35,000 copies). Brigitte Hirt (NZZ, Financial Times, Swissair Gazette) has been hired as editor-in-chief. The new split will be marketed by Mediapresse, which offers the existing French-speaking Swiss split of the French Elle (Hachette Filipacchi). Advertisers in both Swiss splits will receive a combined discount of ten percent (mk).
